Safety

Winema Electric, Inc. is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for employees, customers, and visitors. We strictly adhere to OSHA requirements. As members of the NECA (National Electrical Contractor's Association) we have a partnership with the JATC (Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee) that includes a proactive safety program. In addition we have partnered with AGC (Associated General Contractors) to bring safety to the for front of our business plan. We have a trained safety committee of seven members who meet monthly to review company safety, perform random safety inspections and keep the attention to safety a number one on the job priority. We believe in rewarding safe work practices and have safety reward program in place.

Code of Conduct

Winema Electric, Inc. has established a Code of Conduct to maintain efficiency and productivity, to ensure the safety and well being of employees at work, to communicate expectations for employee behavior, and to comply with local, state, and federal regulations. On the job, and as a representatives of the Company, it is expected that Winema Electric employees are:

  • Committed To: Eliminating unexcused, improper, or excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Clean & Sober: At no time shall an employee be under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, and/or other controlled or uncontrolled substances that may affect the employee's abilities or safety.
  • Respectful of Others: Winema Electric has zero-tolerance policy against abusive, intimidating, harmful, harassing or offensive language and behavior.
  • Safety Conscious: Observing all safety rules, taking all applicable safety courses, making safety a number one priority, reading safety manual.
  • Focused: No loafing, sleeping on the job, excessive personal calls, visitors during work hours, or performing personal business on Company time.
  • Honest: Taking responsibility to eliminate theft and falsification of information, or other dishonest activities.
  • Mature: No fighting, scuffling or harmful practical jokes and horseplay.
  • Protective: Preventing abuse of Company and/or client equipment, materials or other property, and not soliciting on Company or client premises.
  • Courteous: Treating others in a polite and professional manner, even during disagreements.
  • Trustworthy: Acting in a manner that allows co-workers, subordinates, and/or management to believe in and trust each other.
  • In Compliance: Consistently following the polices and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Licensed Electrical Firm

Winema is a licensed electrical contracting firm that provides electrical installation and repairs of lighting, wiring, fire alarms, fiber optics, data communication, high and low voltage energy, and smart technology for homes for commercial and residential buildings. Our electricians are highly trained in diagnostics, installation, and we are moving forward in the new wind and solar technology. We are also highly skilled in design build type projects.
